The precious metal refiner gives a booster shot to the healthcare ecosystem in Mewat ensuring weaker sections of the community get optimum treatment
MMTC-PAMP has stepped up efforts to support the local authorities in Mewat by donating critical life-saving equipment to help them combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
In an endeavour to strengthen the rural health infrastructure ensuring weaker sections of the community get optimum healthcare, donations were made to Al-Afia General Hospital, a government hospital in Mewat’s Mandikhera, to expand their capacity to treat Covid-19 patients and provide timely critical care.
MMTC-PAMP, a precious metal refiner based just outside Nuh district, in the past has implemented various CSR schemes for the benefit of the region. From promoting sanitation, healthcare to making safe drinking water available, MMTC-PAMP continues to be invested in the upliftment and welfare of the people of Mewat.
In its bid to fight against Covid-19, MMTC-PAMP aims to strengthen the rural healthcare ecosystem that reaches the weakest sections of society in Nuh and the surrounding region.
It has helped the authorities with a Covid-care ward equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and has donated BiPap machines (for treating breathing emergencies), patient monitors and multi-functional ICU beds to the hospital. MMTC-PAMP has also pledged to deliver ambulances to the hospital enabling swift medical attention during an emergency.
Additionally, MMTC-PAMP is also partnering with Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce (SICC) to ramp up the primary health centre with necessary medical equipment in Sohna, where majority of MMTC-PAMP employees reside.
Foundation MKS supports India with Covid-19 aid
More aid poured in from MKS PAMP group, the parent company of MMTC-PAMP based in Switzerland. Enabling India to counter the ongoing pandemic, Foundation MKS has donated life-saving oxygen concentrators to a Delhi-based NGO – Doctors For You.
The foundation has extended aid to India to further strengthen the healthcare facilities as the apprehension of a potential third-wave looms large.
“We are committed to strengthen and provide strong support to the region’s healthcare infrastructure. We will do our utmost to provide medical care facilities to underprivileged patients in need and no one should be deprived of healthcare on financial grounds”, said Vikas Singh, Managing Director & CEO, MMTC-PAMP India Pvt Ltd.
He further added, “We have touched lives of over 34,000 people spread across 27 locations through our various CSR projects that are inspired by the ground realities and conceived at the grassroots. This initiative to boost medical facilities for those in need is an extension of our commitment of generating a lasting impact on the society that extends beyond business value creation.”
The second wave of Covid-19 unleashed an unprecedented crisis and with experts forecasting a potential third wave, it remains a top priority of MMTC-PAMP to address and manage the challenges in these adverse times.
